Barbara Bleier



BARBARA BLEIER*
(Ester) is an actor and singer who has been seen in numerous New York City productions, most recently as Karen Frick in the revival of Arthur Miller’s The Last Yankee, Gertrude in Hamlet, and in the musical The Open Gate at the Theatre For A New City. Her film credits include the award-winning Swoon, The Hair Piece, Pen Pals, and Brother. On TV, she has been seen on Law and Order, and commercial spots. She has performed extensively in cabaret, in solo shows and revues. Her two person show with Austin Pendleton, Undecided, drew critical praise in New York and Chicago. She would like to thank Miri for the opportunity to portray Ester in this extraordinary play.

Kathy Searle



Kathy Searle
(Erna – young Ester) is currently appearing in the Off Broadway show Awesome 80s prom in NYC. Her films include Indelible, Future Imperfect and peoples, winner of numerous awards in the festival circuit, due out next year. She has appeared on As the World Turns and All My Children as Greenlee's double. Kathy also worked with the Black Filmmakers society on Weapons of Misdirection, a scripted reality diary for the interne. She has appeared in many plays -some of her favorite roles include - Elly in Sunday on the Rocks, B in Fed, and Cynthia in The Maiden's Prayer. Kathy is honored to be working on I Can Cry. Many thanks to her incredible Family!! And to Miri-thank you for letting me be apart of this amazing journey

Lance Spellerberg



LANCE SPELLERBERG* (German Officer) last appeared as Maxie in Terrible Infant at the NYC Fringe Festival and as Robert in Bee-Luther-Hatchee at the Blue Heron Theater this spring and has been working with Stageplays, The Players, and The Players Playwrights Workshop. Other favorites include Victor in Four Dogs and a Bone, Tom/Phyllis/Leslie in Sylvia, Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Professor in Tracers, Hamlet, MacBeth, and skewering all the rest of the Bard in The Compleat Wks of Wllm Skspr (abridged). Musicals include Buddy Fidler in City of Angels, Harold Hill in The Music Man, and Capt. Von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Lance’s television credits include The Big Easy, Orleans, Die Gang, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. On film, he can be seen this September in The Cookout with Queen Latifah. He was also in Double Jeopardy, Crazy in Alabama, and just released on DVD, Homefront with Tatum O’Neal, Julian Sands and Tim Curry
